My Jams - Ken Hanson

This is a collection of some of my jam sessions, drum grooves, back beats, etc. In almost all cases I improvise, whether I am jamming alone or with a band. I usually start out with a general idea and then go from there. When I play something I like, I build upon that pattern and progress with it. I try not to stick with one pattern for too long to keep it interesting, but there are some patterns I come back to in order to have some kind of theme. When I make a mistake, I try to duplicate it so it sounds like I did it on purpose. It is very rare that I play or sing anything perfect. For me it is all about losing myself in the rhythm, finding that perfect harmony, feeling serenity, and providing entertainment.
